I've just finish drawing a Buchner filter for mason jar
And currently printing it

Standard Masson Jar , Standard coffee filter :)
Will happily share if anybody interested

And it struck me
Is there any incompatibility between PLA plastic and HCL, nitric acid , sulfuric acid , AG , ext ?
Would it be bether in ABS ? ASA, PETG ?

I don’t remember exactly at this time.
But I think, although PLA are hygrophobic it breaks down fast in acids.

Best will be PP but I think PetG will be ok.

Correction, PVDF is best, but very expensive.

All wetted surfaces should be ground and polished smooth to not retain more values than necessary.

If you add a layer of fibre glass in the sides of the funnel it will have much more effective and larger suction area.

I'm already doing similar ,
Liquid is not in contact with the plastic, it allow for quick swap of jar
And it work great

But this ceramic Buchner is soo small !!

also The seal between plastic and jar is deliberately kept bad ,, so i do not vacuum too much

In your first model, you had designed a funnel too. This part and what ever comes in contact with acidic fumes need to be printed in Acid resistant plastics, PVDF, PP or PETG.
PLA will hold for a while, but may end up bad….
