A big huge thank you! Have just started my first dip in the pool. Have been doing my research for about 5 years now and have put my big girl pants on. This forum is absolutely wonderful. Endless plethora of knowledge. ( All in one place!) Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has taken the time to share your knowledge and experience. I greatly appreciate it.

I am a automotive technician by trade. But do have high hopes for starting an e- scrap business here in east TN where I live. ( My friends think I am crazy)... Little do they know.... Lol
Used a potato as I've not had the funds to purchase a crucible yet. It worked fairly well I believe. As I've no experience to compare it to. I was quite pleased. Used borax for my flux. But I did make a huge mistake by not getting copper out first . So I ended up with some pretty rose colored gold. Am rectifying that now.
