I just wanted to say hi to everyone on the forum and to say thanks for welcoming me in! For about 2 years now iv'e been admiring the video's on gold refining, put on you tube and the various other sites, by Lazer Steve, Noxx and the rest of you refining masters! I consider it an honour to be given the chance to get the kind of help you all give so freely! Although I will be making a few purchases from Lazer Steve as soon as I have the cash spare! I have lost count of the money wasted buying refining guides and ideas from people who obviously know nothing about refining, I now realise where most of the ideas came from! I also realise what dangers were involved with some of them! You all need commending for pointing the dangers out and giving everyone the chance to refine safely, protecting not just our own health but also the people living around us that could be affected by poor practice! I now spend most of my time reading about the dangers of the various chemicals and i'm in the process of building a fume cupboard and trying to get my head round the scrubber design! An area I know nothing about admittedly but it's due to the safe practice preaching on this site! Iv'e had a few scary moments in the past but thanks to the hard work from the people on this site, I now strive to do the right thing and practice safely! So this is a big thanks from me

muddle171965,
Welcome to the forum.
It sounds like we will not have to tell you to study, as you sound hungry to learn, and have started on that path, but if you do not have a copy of Hoke's book you can download a copy from book section, her book and doing the getting acquainted experiments, will get you up to speed in no time.
