Name's Bill and I'm from London, Ontario, Canada. I am a bit of a handy man when it comes to IT work, construction, and vehicle mechanics. I often fix anything and everything myself!

I'm your typical case of a guy who has watched a bunch of gold recovery videos and wants a gold button!!

I am very fortunate because where I work I'm a long-time member of the IT department and I'm allowed to take all the e-waste. We normally give it away to scrap yards for free!

Thank you all in advance & I will do my best to read read read read the forum.

Welcome to us.
And since you are planning to process things we ask you to study a bit first.

We ask our new members to do 3 things.
1. Read C.M. Hokes book on refining jewelers scrap, it gives an easy introduction to the most important chemistry regarding refining.
It is free here on the forum: Screen Readable Copy of Hoke's Book
2. Then read the safety section of the forum: Safety
3. And then read about "Dealing with waste" in the forum: Dealing with Waste

Suggested reading: The Library

Welcome to the forum.
There are many pieces of information in Hoke that pertain to e waste recovery so read it several times and always re read every now and then it’s amazing what will suddenly make sense.
