Gentlemen: I have a Lambda Model LYS-D-5-0V, regulated power supply. Input voltage 105-132 VAC. Output: 5 +/- 5% VDC, 990 W max output. MAX RATINGS: 120A @ 40 deg. C, 104 A @ 50 deg. C, and 86 A @ 60 deg. C.
My questions are, how would you install an amp meter and can you regulate the regulated output DC voltage?
As you have probably surmised I would like to use this on a H2SO4 cell. Mike
 
Found a good site for explaining the ammeter design and placement.

No answer on regulating the regulated supply. Am thinking varistor.
