Perhaps it is lost in translation and I do not understand. What is what you call the melting method?

So you smelt the PM's with copper and electrolytically recover pure copper and process the slimes for the PM's?

I smelt it, then dissolved copper with NA.
The recovered powder is again smelted without anything.
Test it with XRF.

By NA I assume you mean Nitric Acid? Please avoid abbreviations which lead to confusion.

What type of scrap are you working with? And what quantities? What reason do you have to expect Gold, Platinum, Rhodium and Iridium in your material? When we have a better idea about what you are doing we can answer your questions better.

have you thought of smelting your alloys with silver instead of copper, if dissolving in nitric? it takes a lot less nitric to dissolve silver, than copper.

Yes. I did it with silver. it works well for final smelting.
we do smelting with copper first time and dissolve copper with nitric acid.
the recovered powder is again smelted with silver.
dissolve the silver with nitric acid.
that's it.
I smelt the recovered powder again directly without anything to make the metal!

for gold and pt, I do aqua.
For PD I do Nitric only.
For Ir and Rh, I use the smelting method.
