analog to digital tv station changeover

Simple question
Will they have much electronic scrap from this?

I want to know if it would be worth the time to contact my local stations.

It might be, but I highly doubt they will give their equipment to johnny on the spot. Likely they will have some exit plan, if the employees don't take it piece by piece.

Although, it might be worth checking the local dumpster..
