Hoard the high grade ceramics, crush them to save on warehousing costs, sell the low grade, manufactures are learning how to minimize on the use of precious metals. By the time you have spent thousands of dollars procuring equipment hiring technical people to run the refining plant then disposing of waste.

Even the pro's here on GRF would not waste their time refining e-scrap ask yourself why.

Hate to see you invest a hard earned bob into a project that is soon too diminish as the availability of this older scrap becomes a rarity. Just a dumb old farts opinion.

Hmm I was under the influence, well your in the right place to glean the knowledge you need. Grab a copy of Hokes Refining Precious Metals then go over to lasersteve's website to watch some very good footage on processing e-scrap.

Post some pictures of the material you have in mind to refine, this will help our members to give you some firm advice on how to proceed.

Steve I'm in the Jewellery Quarter and I've been involved in refining for 20 years even had my own refinery for a while. As I said I'm no expert in e scrap but I know plenty who are and one has to say there are loads here on the forum too. If I can help let me know and I'll be only to pleased to advise or point you in the right direction.
I'd suggest reading the sources of scrap threads, C.M.Hoke and the forum handbook. ( available as free downloads ) and also check out lasersteves site , read as much as you can on here it's all good learning.
