Last week, I worked to develop a new source of old electronics scrap.
My office is in front of a storage unit facility and the same person owns the offices and storage units.
I heard mention of him "auctioning off" the items inside one of the unpaid units.
Well, I went to watch this auction, and of course, took a handful of cards with me.
It was an interesting scene to say the least! Quite a cast of charachters showed up!
I handed them all cards, told them what I did, and offered to buy the older computers and cell phones from any units they won in these auctions.
I've gotten one batch of boards so far from that exercise.
It is not as lucrative as my scrap-metals-yard-card-passing-out prospecting, but it is a good way to meet people who are sort of in the junk business also, but maybe aren't specializing in computers.
Happy Hunting!
