I was making a small batch of AP earlier. Every time I mixed peroxide with hcl, it fizzed a lot and gave off some kind of vapor. When i did this before I never had this issue. These chems have been sitting in my garage for about 2 months or so.

I have 17% muratic
3% Peroxide.

I thought mabye my container was contamiated so i dropped a small dot of peroxide inside the HCL jug and it did the same thing.

Im thinking it might be the heat. Its about 90 degrees in my garage currently and I know peroxide should be kept cold to keep it from breaking down. This would explain why the vapor didnt smell like anything (not that i put my face in it and sniffed)

Oxygen gasses off, heat will accelerate chemical reactions, although mostly oxygen in vapors some HCl may be carried with it. if metals in solution reaction can get more vigorous, especially if metals are high in the reactivity series.
