AP on nickel

Hi,
I put in a batch of AP scraps of gold over what I thought was just copper base. I now have AP that is a dark green. All the copper is gone but there is a silver base now on the gold which I think is nickel. Will the nickel eventually dissolve so I just have the gold left? Or do I now have to remove the foils and start a new batch of AP to dissolve the nickel

Thanks. Any idea how long? Days or weeks? Would added more peroxide speed it up? how about more HCL?
