So are you working for ARA now? Or are you getting some sort of commission for sending business to them?

In your earlier posts you mentioned that you've been in the pawn business for many years. :?:

I second that as I have found this:

ladypop if u have 2 kilos of 22karat then u would loose at least that much because of alloy in material. refiners refine to pure then pay and ARA is the only refiner I've ever found that really is HONEST and Ive been in the pawnshop business for 30 years

as I have wore many hats maybe others have too,
if this is not a confusion or mistake, how can we trust someone with our hard earned metals. if they are not giving us total honesty in who they are? hopefully there is an reason or misunderstanding.
Peaceful can you clear this up for us. please.

I have used ARA several times before I started refining. They are extremely friendly and payed me the market rate at time of my phone call.

I have not sent them fine gold which is the best way to tell how honest their 98% is, a few times I challenged the weights but I think the ebay gold was to blame.

They sold my gold once they received it, I called up to tell them I left a note in the package to not sell it but to keep it on account, they said no problem. Gold had gone up $24 that day.

All their checks cashed but the 21 day hold on American checks by Canadian banks is a killer. Once my bank had cashed three or four checks they lifted the 21 day wait, but only for that company, and only after I asked them (bank).

All my gems were returned in separated packages: Diamonds, and others and something about frosted gems, no idea what that means but I have a bunch of bags of diamond's and gems (small ones). Don't know what to do with them.

Once I decide to part with my beloved fine gold I will send them a portion to see how accurate their 98% is but I just can't get the nerve to sell my GOLD.

The Texan accents are extremely entertaining too, that's in a good way.

I was introduced to the forum by one of the other members who tried us and heard of us through this forum. We have since developed a realtionship and told me to check it out (the froum). I had never heard of it before. He told me only good things were on here about us (ARA) and we do depend on referrals. I started really watching what was going on and in 2007 we were the talk of the forum. I was very proud. Never wrote a thing about us. Then one day about 6 months ago I noticed people were writing false statements about us and adding links to some of my competitors. I got suspicious and investigated and sure enough it was some of the salespeople for other refineries. So I put my 2 cents worth in to get us back in good standing again. I am embarassed and truly sorry for the deception . We do depend on referrals for growth and I reacted only to try to save face. We are a good company and have honest returns. I haven't set a very good example of that. I'm sorry

If you be so kind please can you send me some link to this thread you are talking about? I have searched forum for a while and cant really find anything where there are false statements about ARA on this forum. There are few threads with positive references to ARA but I cant find any like you said. Thanks.

I've dealt with both John and Don at ARA and have nothing but the highest regards for their company. They have always been fair with me and I will continue to deal with them and recommend them to anyone who wants a high return for scrap gold.
I've had bad experiences with several other refiners until I found ARA. The only drawback with ARA , and its not that big a problem , is that they can be a little slow with sending out settlement checks.

I to have recommend your company. I even included a link in the forum book to your company, which i might add i don't promote vary many peoples ideas or businesses ( at all ) without first having checked them out or have come by way of a good personal referral. In your case the referral was made by Catfish ( Tom ).

I to don't remember anyone saying anything bad about the company. But i spotted some deception from the post. Now that bothered me. Thanks for coming clean and clearing up the confusion for us. How has business been ?

I will try to answer all questions. There was some negative feedback from someone on the debates and discussion section. I cant really remember it all now and I cant find it. About 6 -7 months ago. I remember someone even responded that the company in question only deals with people in the trade business. Yes I am Nicki, one of the owners of ARA and my boys John and Don know nothing of this mess I've put us in. I'm am so sorry.
The one questions was about pgms, we do melt and assay but do not refine to pure, it is bulked and eventually shipped to Johnson Matthey. We pay 80% with no additional charges of any kind. We provide this service purely as a convienence to our customers. JM refining fees are hefty and this allows us to make approx. 1 % for our trouble. All gold processing is done at our facility. to 4-9's pure. We are not a middle man when it comes to Gold.
As far as shipping from Canada we have customers from there. As far as I know it mailed USPS to us. Registered and insured.
I hope this clears everything up. If so can I take my head out of the sand and hold it back up again. I hope you all can accept my apology. THANKS NICKI

I like honest people. Especially those who can admit a mistake.

Welcome to the forum.

I do believe Noxx was looking for a refiner to Handel his outsourcing awhile back. Noxx ?

Here's a nice service to offer to customers.

Anyone can make a mistake, but it takes a real man (or woman) to own up to one and set the record straight.

Way to go Nicki!
