Are 22k gold nuggets worth substantially more than 18k nugge

Gold nuggets in general seem to go for about 15 to 20 percent below the spot price in bulk but is that the case with 22k gold nuggets and flakes? I recall my father selling the larger flakes for 25% above spot back in the seventies.

You've got to find an eager invester or find a jeweler that is short of gold to get the above spot premium unless you sell on e-bay and take your chances. Different jewelers want different sizes of gold.

nope, they arent, im a large gold nugget dealer and I sell nuggets for spot or a little over spot but thats about it. A lot of gold nuggets on Ebay come from me (I wholesale to a lot of the sellers)
