Hi. Have copper nitrate and want to recover the copper, which material is best to get the cleanest drop?

Clean cast iron, clean steel, but most important is whatever you can get for free. The steel is iron and carbon so it is not as clean, but if it's free, it's clean enough.
Keep in mind that iron will cement most metals that may be in solution, so if it's pure copper nitrate you'll get purish copper, but if there are other metals in the solution, most will come down with the copper.
If there are other metals present, a copper cell will produce pure copper. That's how the big boys do it. It depends on what you have, how pure you need the copper, if you want to set up a cell, etc.

I misread this, if it is copper nitrate from dropping Silver out of Silver nitrate and there is no Hydrochloric Acid in the waste this method shown in video from Nurdrage will recover clean copper and nitric acid for re-use. The iron I mentioned works well for aqua regia waste, not so well cor copper nitrate.
An investment in a simple still and basic equipment will save you money in the future on nitric acid. The same still can also make nitric acid for you.
