Does anyone know of a decent text or reference on pyrometallurgy? Rose has some; Bugbee, Shepard & Dietrich, Taggart, Ammen, and others all have at most a chapter in their respective books, but I have yet to find an entire book devoted to it. I know that refining in general has long since moved away from smelting, so I would imagine that decent books might be from the early 1900's. Specifically, I am interested in the use of fire/heat to refine PM's. I know that there are other ways and quite possibly easier ways using a wet chemical method or combinations of processes, but, there is still valuable knowledge to be had. Something along the lines of "you can't know where you are without knowing where you have been?" Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance,

Clayton
