does anyone know where to find bulk prices for e-scrap? like if I have 500lbs of ram, or a gaylord of computer boards, or power supplies and want to sell them. I know the prices I can get a boardsort, but I am assuming that if I have larger quantities, i can get better prices. I am just trying to find out how much better.

thanks,
M

You should contact some of the other buyers with a detailed list of what you have.

Boardsort is a good 'base', but others do have better pricing for larger quantities. However, be sure you have that sort of load - wasting their time in just 'price shopping' doesn't make for good friends!

Also, your 'gaylord of computer boards' should be separated into various types or you will only get a low price overall (perhaps $2/lb for mixed stuff as it could have anything in there, but separated types of motherboards, gold fingered cards, etc. will yield a considerable amount more). I'm confused about your statement of the gaylord and prices from boardsort as they do not buy a complete mix (which is why I caution you about 'price shopping' without the material - it is actually very difficult to get a price without some details!).

this is why I was asking here. :) :) I know boardsort's pricing is not for large quantities. I was trying to find some ideas as to prices to see if it is worthwhile to try to scale up what I am doing.

maybde there is a spot price list somewhere out there?

http://boardsort.com about as 'spot' as you will find posted anywhere. Too many variables and price changes to do much better.

when you get a large enough load, the buyers will show, with a price that is better. Until then, it is best not to bother them.
