Guys,

Many thanks for your suggestion for this book, and I could find the link to download the PDF format of it. This book is like holy book for any beginner in refining.

There is also a section about TESTING PRECIOUS METALS by the same author, anyone know where can I get it? It mentioned in REFINING PRECIOUS METAL WASTES about how different colors would mean different metals, but didn't explain how can you find the amount of metals in format of ppm in the solution.. that is super tight and very useful. any words on that?

Thanks and here is the book for newcomers.

To All and Sundry:

Thank you all for helping me here and there. I have downloaded hokes' book and there are things that are not in Ammen. But now I can find anything in the book without thumbing here and there. Just keep my notes from the book in front of and around me and if I want something just punch a key or two and voila - right there. A lot easier than playng with all those pages and constantly moving the book around or chance spilling or flaming up. Glorious technology. Domo Arrigato Gozaemus. Phill

To One and All:

Gosh, but it is so good to be alive and able to cogitate all the little things. For instance, in browsing the forum, I keep finding posts about people wanting to buy Hokes' book, but do not like the prohibitive cost of purchasing on the net. For one and all, that is - those not in the know - the great tome can be downloaded from the forum.

Cheap, succinct and like I said in a previous post, a lot easier than riffling thru a book and messing up the pages with spills and flame, etc. Well, my soapbox for the day.

By the way, anybody ever see "The Jazz Singer" ( circa 1927 ) ? That should put a flame under some of you.!!!!!!!!!

Have a good day and be careful. Phill
