container for nitric acid

Hello,

I getting ready to make my first batch of nitric acid trought distilation (ebay glassware). I have been looking for a good container that is HDPE to store teh acid once complet but haven tbeen able to locate one that could hold 1-4l. I do have large amber glass beer bottle (500ml) that I could use but cant find a good cap for them.

For those that make there own what do you use?

Yes I had read GoldSilverPro's answer but I havent been able to locate a place in Canada to buy some. Could I reuse a bottle of Sulphuric acid (Liquid Lightning drain opener)?

I ended up using one of my old peroxide bottle that I used for AP. I got it from Wal-Mart and its 1.5L.

It's prefect as it's a brown bottle, and has a safety cap.

i went to several antuques stores till i found what i was looking for, an old 1 gallon clorox jug. brown glass with a sturdy black hard plastic cap. $10.00
