Hi.
I’m new here.
I just have a question a dissolving gold powder that is hard to remove from a simple coffee filter paper.
I have some gold powder with coffee filter and am wondering if I add AR to the filter papers, will the AR dissolve all the paper and gold? If so, would adding SMB precipitate gold only if paper is dissolved in AR?
If filter paper doesn’t dissolve then I think I should be fine.
Thank you.

You can dissolve the gold the paper may fall to pieces but it will not dissolve, the solution can be filtered, be sure to rinse and squeeze out all of the yellow-colored gold chloride the solution from the filter media.

With fine gold HCl and bleach is easier, as opposed to aqua regia and de-NOxing to remove the oxidizer...

The paper will burn if melting the gold, which is no problem if the gold is pure. Carbon from paper in a melt can help to reduce base metals or absorb oxygen and covert metal oxides in the melt forming CO2 gases.
