These contacts would not dissolve in nitric the pile on the right are vary briddle I'm assuming there tungsten the ones on the left are vary hard any clue what there made of they came from high amp breakers IMG_20190515_163716339.jpg
 
Not plated,it’s more like a porous sintered tungsten saturated with silver to stand the violence of the high current, high voltage event.
 
If I remember correctly you need to really be aggressive with the nitric using high heat to remove all the silver and once that’s done the tungsten will almost fall apart, so if they are still solid try them again.
 
I seem to recall someone here mentioning that they need to be boiled in nitric for ~20 h, boiling action is needed for acid to mix & move around and get in to the maze of sintered tungten to access silver...
