Extracting Gold

Hi, i made a pot yesterday about buying scrap jewelery from ebay, and i have decided that it might prove quite difficult to get a good source. Instead, i have arrived at the same source as most of this forum; ewaste and so on.
I have downloaded M.Hoke's book, and it is a great source of information from what i have read; however i havent found the time to read it in full; only a small section.
My question is basically a general inquiry as to how you guys get the gold, off the product. From what i have read so far, there are a few methods.
Assuming i wanted to get the gold from a GP CPU, how would i go about this.
if you could just list a few step by step instructions (very general), i would greatly appreciate it.

there is no problem to found step by step manuals for different procedures on forum here. the question is how succesfull you will be doing something what you dont understand fully. small deviation from process say in composition of metals, temperature, "ingredience" in your "mix" or batch and you are lost. it is recomended to read and study before practice and experimenting in slow and small.

to cut it short - answer to your question is here on forum, search and you will be overwhelmed by information. it is not easy to put together step by step when you dont know what you want to process. even cpus are few different types and there is few more different techniques to process them.

a good one to look into would be acid peroxide, then acid bleach processes these work well for E scrap and realativly easy. steve's web site is perfect to get you started, then find all you can on the forum about these, you should be getting gold in no time.

dont skip on safety and disposal of your by products. good luck getting that shinny stuff.
