So I forgot to rinse the gold I had precipitated and my gold precipitate has gone to copper, any suggestions on how I could fix my mistake?..

Way to little information.
What material did you dissolve, how did you dissolve it, which precipitant did you use and so on.
We can not read minds so you need to give us detailed information.
