Hello everybody,

I'm just a science amateur who recently extended his knowledge to chemistry, and who is discovering the process of extracting gold from old electronics. I started collecting some CPUs, memory cards fingers, and connectors with golden pins, and I have a 1L beaker half-full of them. I'm waiting for it to be full before trying to refine my very first batch, and I registered here to look for some tips.

Welcome to us.
This is the place to learn about refining.
Here are some recommended links.

We ask our new members to do 3 things.
1. Read C.M. Hokes book on refining jewelers scrap, it gives an easy introduction to the most important chemistry regarding refining.
It is free here on the forum: Screen Readable Copy of Hoke's Book
2. Then read the safety section of the forum: Safety
3. And then read about "Dealing with waste" in the forum: Dealing with Waste
