Gday all!

I allways wonder what people must think of me after these introduction posts.
This I find quite funny concidering I dont give a damn in real life, nor online after more than this one post.

Um, Ive frequented quite a few of the various Chemistry based discussion boards for the better part of the last 15 years. Have seen a few familiar names around the place.
Never even concidered looking into this field until last week when I stumbled across this site whilst searching for info on process recycling of the organic portion of cpu`s etc.
Im amazed that I never came across it sooner.

I have some formal training in Org-chem and engineering and have many years experience in the amature laboratory setting.
Not that Im a great Chemist or anything, just a keen experimentalist who has discovered many a path to "What not to do, oops, oh-oh, I made table salt again."...
Saying all that, most if not everything here is new to me and as such a lot more reading/experimentation is in order before I am able to contribute anything of value.
I love to forrage and hoard. I already have most of the equipment and chemicals needed for this hobby along with experience using metals and metalics in synthesis.

Cash is a fine motivation but I have always wanted to try my hand at casting/plating jewelery, so this is where I may take this new-found interest. That is If I ever get enough P.M to make it worth while..

I like what you guys have built here.
Even though the volume of info and the number of sub-forums is somewhat daunting, Im sure ill get through it alright as everyone seems quite friendly and helpful.
Ill try not to ask that many dumb questions I promise.

Thanks for having me.

P.s, An english major I aint, so Ill appologise in advance for any gramatical/spelling eroors.

Welcome to the forum. You will find that manners and respect are more important on here than correct grammar except where chemicals or processes are involved where clarity is very important. Immerse yourself in the forum handbooks and read C.M.Hoke. check out lasersteves site and prepare to be amazed at the wealth of knowledge freely available.
