Hi.

I am using the A/P process to remove gold from card edge connectors. It is coming along well, but I think I used too much peroxide because the CuCl solution has taken on a deep orange color. How do I precipitate out the gold dissolved in that solution?

Thanks
Joe

Just keep using it. As it becomes saturated with copper, any gold in solution will cement out as a fine powder. If you run out of scrap to run through the solution and never plan to use it again, just put some copper from copper pipe or wire in it to accomplish the same thing. When you're done, be sure to treat the waste solution before disposal.
