I've had a few express desire to me to acquire a large piece of the blue quartz that has the same characteristics as the smaller blue quartz found in the cons I have been sending out. That characteristic is of course the presence of AU. I found this specimen sitting by itself all lonely, not a single shard of quartz within 50 ft. Someone back in the day maybe lost it when packing it out I suspect? I have pics on this listing of pics I took with my microscope, piece was cleaned and dried so there is no light distortion as it can be when wet.
I have not had a chance to check it with a metal detector. From what I've seen, the blue quartz has produced some of the best specimens and highest recovery rate. There is a real chance this thing could have a picker or better locked inside. Or it could just have a generous helping of flour. You could pull a gram out, or you could get a few ounces. What I'm certain of is that it came directly off of an original quartz vein in an area that produced very high assay values.
