Sorry if there is duplicates of this post; my phone is about to find itself being refined if it doesn't shape up.

Anyways, I'm new to this and while very fun and educational it's a bit overwhelming at times. I'm trying to learn what's what when it comes to identifying pms in e-waste ( tonight I've realized MLCC's are going to drive me bonkers). Ive always loved chemistry and can synthesize all the required chemicals at home and save quite a bit of money doing so. It's the knowing what's what that's getting me. I will attach some pictures of some pieces I've pulled out of little black boxes (that I believe to be power switches or something) that appear to be bronze or copper though their counterparts were definitely gold plated. Are they a different thickness or exactly what I think they look like? There's also a ride I pulled out of a playstation 2s disk drive area that appears to be gold plated. I was thinking brass, but the inside of the rod seems brittle and is definitely not brass (graphite maybe?) Also pictured is a circular foil thing that appears to be gold plated...can't remember what I pulled it out of but I want to say it was a flat screen speaker...and finally a "mouse" touch pad PCB from a laptop. The color is a little off to me but didn't know if that's because of a coating they put on it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated 👍

Only thing I see with gold is that board from the laptop. but I could be wrong.🤷
Thank you, I figured the majority wasn't but just wanted to ask before I tossed it in with the shred scrap.

At least the mouse board is. I had read that they should be; but the color is different than the other one I have that I'm certain is gold plated.

The disk shaped item is brass, it will have silver plating on one side.

Those copper strips you can generally identify just from their pinkish color. I’m guessing they came from some kind of relays? In any case they appear to have some round silver contacts attached to them. Actually the one on the left looks like it might be gold plated silver.
