Hello everyone.
I read, I reread, I seem to understand then someone writes other things that take me back or even to the beginning.
Does anyone have a method to post for machining parts for cell phones, computers and the like?
Yes!!! I always get something but it seems to me that some gold is left behind.
Can someone please show me a link to a valid and safe method.
please don't tell me to read hokes. Thank you

I’m still learning my self how much weight are you processing ?
I do it on a small batches maybe 20 pounds so far .
It goes some thing this
Take phone apart
Separate the plastic, glass, batteries , boards, ribbons and cameras into piles
I pull all the metal off the boards
Run through AP
The ribbons I still haven’t processed yet , probably burn classify, gravity separate w/ rinse then process
After soaking the boards in AP I separate the chips from caps
Chips ash, classify , gravity separate process
Boards after AP soak shred incinerate rinse , smelt run trough cell ? ( I’m still holding on to boards now kinda working on this part still) it’s a big picture you can fill in details as you see fit plenty of info out there Try and research the process yourself as well.
Good luck
Jeff

Why?
I know it is not directly applicable for e-waste, but the chemistry is valid!

And the safety and waste treatment is absolutely important!

why AP and not nitric, is there a valid reason or can I also use nitric?

AP can be reused
It’s easy to make
Like Yaggdrasil it’s dissolves Tin And base metals
I like the sit and forget part it allows me to do other projects while the AP is working .

Because before you can begin to refine you have to separate the gold from everything else. Nitric isn’t suitable because it dissolves nearly everything and you wind up with a conglomerate of metals in solution that can be anywhere from very difficult to impossible to separate.
