That is the coolest thing I have seen in a long time.
Here is a link to Standard Methods of Chemical Analysis
where the platinum metals info pamphlet I have is from,
very good info on the rarer platinum group metals.

I downloaded a few books from google and then put them
on a zip disk to transfer to my laptop, and then they didn't
work. I tried downloading directly to the zip disk and that
worked. So if you want to download a book, do it to where
you want it, because I guess there is a copyguard built in
that prevents you from copying it to somewhere else.
There are lots of good books on there for you guys to check out.
I found books on electroplating, refractories and furnaces,
and a bunch of metallurgical books. Also a bunch that I was
looking for on history of my area to do my homework on
good spots to metal detect this spring and summer. I hope to
find some buried gold. I would like to find some gold coins but
rings and jewelry will work also.

I downloaded about 20 pdf's of the classics last night with no problems. Most of the ones you can download are before 1920. Their obvious motive is to give you teasers so you'll buy the new books.

Yea, it says the copyrights are out of date, or never had one,
so that is why you can download them. Considering that you
can't find alot of them, or would have to fight for them on Ebay,
I think it is very cool. The coolest thing since I found this site
anyway. Jim
