Greetings to all! I am new here. I have started collecting scrap for refining. I have done a few test runs with varying amounts of success. I have some questions about a few things and I'm not sure where to post, and I don't want to be "that guy", so I hope somebody might point me in the right direction.

1. Using HCL, I have a problem with tin.
2. I have a number of rhodium plated contact pins. What to do with those?

I will continue to read the forum but, if somebody could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

i have never seen rhodium plated contact pins before

I haven't seen Rh plated pins either. If they are Rh plated, they are surely worth much less than if they were gold plated. I would guess about 1/6 as much. Plus, you'll probably never be able to recover all the Rh and, if you do, you'll probably never be able to sell it for anywhere near it's market value.
