Welcome to the forum, go4gold.

I'm going to advise you just as I advise everyone that's new. Read Hoke's book, and read it until it makes sense to you. From it you will gain a tremendous amount of knowledge that you can apply to refining. Without that knowledge, the processes will remain a mystery to you.

Pay particular attention to testing and the use of stannous chloride.
