Reason I call it that is because I'm getting grubby from all the picking apart old computers.
I have repaired laptops for the last 20 years and alwayse new the gold and pm was their but never gave it a 2nd look. Gave all my scrap away.
Cuple month ago I was standing over a laptop and out of the blue decided it was time I had some gold shot.
Hear I am. I have been reading and reading and the video here and their. I will admit I thought it would be alot easy-er to do that is really is. I set up a table in the garage on the west wall (away from the neibors) set up a hood,fan light and DC power suply. I have been picking at laptops a while and have some plated pins..etc. My 1st attemp is the copper and lead acid cell. Not exactly clear what to do with a acid after I have suspended the gold.
If I read correct All I do is nutralize the acid, let the powder settle then decant the acid, melt the gold and pour it into water to make my gold shot? Or gold-ish shot. I'm still a little foggy on the recover and smelt to pure part.
I'm not trying to make money at this. In fact I'll spend more money than the gold I make is worth if it gives me the bragging rights of gold shot in my pocket that I recovered. It's just dam fun!
