Hello, I'm an engineer with a hobbyist's interest in fine jewelry making and precious metals.
For fun, I've attached some images of a Stirling silver prototype engagement ring and the soon to be real deal in palladium (along with some mishap).View attachment 61945
Welcome.
Beautiful ring.
We are mainly engaging in recovery and refining so we will for the most part meet the mishaps and worn out jewelry.
For production and jewelry making I believe Ganoksin Orchid is a better forum.

Understood! I'm here to deal with all my scrap!
In that case I urge you to study these links thoroughly.
Safety Waste treatment and Hokes book are the most essential.
We often say you need to read Hoke at least three times.

We ask our new members to do 3 things.
1. Read C.M. Hokes book on refining jewelers scrap, it gives an easy introduction to the most important chemistry regarding refining.
It is free here on the forum: https://goldrefiningforum.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=19798
2. Then read the safety section of the forum: https://goldrefiningforum.com/forums/safety.47/
3. And then read about "Dealing with waste" in the forum: https://goldrefiningforum.com/threads/dealing-with-waste.10539/

Beautiful work!! I bet you can contribute a lot with your jewellers skills. There are in fact more members who have attempted or are planning on making a wedding band e.g. including me.

welcome to the forum!

I think I'm going to try and stay on the topic of refining since there are other forums for jewelry and metal working, but if things come up maybe I can help. I'm definitely open to personal messages.
