Hi all,

1st post, just wanted to introduce myself ( i wanted to do that before i got 50 , and time is ticking :p .
My name is Patrick i am from Antwerp, Belgium.

I've been reading posts on this forum for the last 7 months or so, found this place when i began looking for things about computer ( gold ) recycling, I liked the videos on youtube from "indeeditdoes" and that's how i found this place.

Since then i've been reading posts every day, got hooked on hoke's ( on my ipad ) and discovered that I still need much more reading,
seen to many with 1st posts that needed help after putting all kind of chemicals together,
dumping the whole computer in it and then asking where that black goo comes from and if the black smoke in the kitchen is not to dangerous

I studied electricity, worked as rockclimbing teacher for 20 years, 7 years of paragliding as hobby, did windsurfing, diving, for a few years, so safety is important for me :p

Thanks to Noxx for making this fantastic forum and to the old and new posters for sharing their knowledge,

I am getting ready to try my first 0,5lb clean cut fingers as a tryout, saving up the foils and trying to get me a nice button ( one like samuel a's last one) :p this year.

Now before some further reading, preparing questions and more reading, iam going to do my first test for tonight :

First i am going to freeze some dihydrogen monoxide (great post!),put it in a glass vessel , pour some brownish alcohol over it, remember (always frozen dihydrogen monoxide first) and drink it , i wonder what that reaction is going to be, i am shure i tried it before , but i forgot  i think it gets my party started 8)

thank you all again.

Hello, I'm glad you find your way to the holy grail of refining; sit back and enjoy the adventure!

Ps; if you need help in any way (getting hold of materials; knowledge) you can pm me

Btw i'm from antwerp too ;)

Cheers,

Ben

Welcome, you sound like an interesting and sensible guy!, I have successfully refined and melted my first Au BB recently albeit with a few bumps along the way. I don't know much, unlike some of the members here, but what I do know I will be glad to share.

Best wishes,
AuH-R

Welcome to the forum Pattt, good luck on your first process, It sounds like you have been doing your research, and that you will be making your own luck along with your gold.

Be careful drinking that frozen di-hydrogen monoxide mixed with alcohol, you never know how some of these chemicals react.

Hello,

Thank you guys,

Ben, nice to hear someone on this forum is from antwerp, thank u for the offer, i'll let you know if i need some help :p

AUH R, thank you, i followed your posts, was nice and intresting, nice BB.

butcher, thank you, always verry nice to read your posts !
I noticed the reaction can be heavy, the next day i felt like a year older, and needed more di-hydrogen monoxide, ...to put on my head

Now i am going to read some more new posts , thank u again and see you all later.
Bye.

Welcome to the Forum , experiments with brownish alcohol can be fun , however do not mix with working with refining , you may loose more then just your gold , but it is good stuff to use when you celebrate your first BB

0,5 lb will not give that much gold but it will be enough to try and learn and it is fun doing
