How long have you been refining gold or have interest in precious metals? : It started last fall(2012), found a white IC chip with gold legs, and it gave me a whole new fever, kind of like the sluice but different all the same.

How did you discover our Forum? : I believe it was Geo that sent me here, if that's Jeff.
Hello everyone, I have not began any type of refining, just collecting right now. I finished reading the "Hoke's Manuscript," last night and turned back to page one and began reading it again. I read about halfway through the forum guide until I got to solubility and decided I should really learn a little chemistry to go with this. I would like to see gold soon but for me safety is everything as I have two of three children living with my wife and I, their significant others and three grand children to boot, oops my mother in law is here too. Anyways, I have performed a sand bath for about 30 cell phones to depopulate just as a test run. All went well and I plan on doing more this week. Also just ordered the Gold Post from Steve's site. I plan on going real slow and learning everything I can before jumping in. Maybe I can do some of Hoke's tests in June. I came here in March by referral from Jeff and realized how little I knew. So, as I close my first post, I want to say Thank You in advance for all of your knowledge, experience, and most of all for your willingness to share such a valuable resource. Hey Butcher, I hope the "go bucks" wasn't being too political.
