Hello everyone.

Awesome forum really glad i found this!

Iam 23 year and work as a garbageman an i just recently discovered that all the electronics i collect everyday contains pm. And i have just chrushet it all in my truck, without knowing that i literely threw out gold! That has now come to an end!

See you guys around

Regards TGMC.

You are not kidding. I have had several sterling silver flatware sets delivered to me for scrap by garbage haulers that were still in the fine wooden boxes they came in. I paid outwell in excess of a $1,000.00 on several of them.

Well i have a lot to learn.. my first colecting day today resultet in 8 motherbords a box of mobile phones like 50 peices, and 3 procesers if that what its callt-the small squere ones with the gold pins on...

It sure sounds like you're off to a good start.

Make sure you read all the posts in "Types of PM Scrap" and "Where to Find Scrap" so you get an idea of some things to look for that you might not think of otherwise.

Don't be in too big a hurry to start refining - collect as much material as you can find room to store, read the forum while you collect, then try processing one type of material at a time, using methods that you find here. Avoid the temptation to put your own spin on the processes. I would suggest you try processing fingers your first time since it's pretty straightforward, little contamination, and as Steve says "you never lose sight of your gold".

Welcome aboard!!
