i am from missouri and no longer able to work at age 43 and have a family i need to take care of and i am looking into refineing Prcious metals from computers and electronic junk i am reading trying to find the safest way to remove gold from cpu's,memory sticks and motherboards i want something that is somewhat safe the aqua regia method seems harsh and dangerous to me whats this AP method and reverse elcrolisys cell is that the direction i need to look in

hello, welcome to the forum. almost all processes you will learn here deal with dangerous chemicals but the most dangerous part of the equation is the person handling them.if you mix certain household chemicals in an enclosed space it is just as deadly as any acid you may ever come in contact with.while here you will learn how to safely handle and use these chemicals and make them do what you want but you have got to do your part,download a free copy of C.M. Depending on what type of access you have to this material, you could almost do better gathering this material and selling it on Ebay. People are paying crazy prices for this stuff. In this case you wouldn't have to worry about the whole slew of variables related to processing, let alone the time it takes to really become proficient at this. A hobby is one thing, trying to support a family doing this is another.
