Sort of fell into this by accident and really glad I did. I'm coming here as a complete noob but have downloaded and printed C.M. Hoke's book and both versions of the forum handbook and I'll be soaking that knowledge up like a sponge.

I'm getting a little pile put together to start to learn extraction and refining (electronics scrap), once I feel comfortable with the basics I'll pick up supplies and get started. Weather is warming up here and this scrap is just begging to boiled LOL.

Look forward to learning all I can and supporting the forum. Thanks in advance for all of the info and no worries, I'll search everything I can think of before I post a question that has probably already been covered.

Welcome to the forum. It sounds like you're off to a good start.

Be sure to read EVERYTHING in the Safety section of the forum, especially the Dealing with Waste topic.

Follow the Guided Tour created by LazerSteve. It will provide an introduction to the forum and numerous valuable links including the General Reactions List. Be sure to follow the link to his web site as he has many outstanding videos, a collection of great reference documents, and he sells a lot of the supplies needed to get started including detailed instructional DVDs. Samuel-a also has a lot of videos, guides and tutorials at his web site Gold-N-Scrap.

bmgold2 has also been putting together a useful set of links for beginners. You'll find a few links there that are duplicates of the ones I'm providing, but he has also taken the time to link to many other very good threads on specific topics of interest. His thread is here: New Member Answers.
