Hello from New York, new to forum

Just wanted to say hello, my name is Scott, I am new to the forum, and very glad i found this site. I am kind of new to this hobby, but i have been around scrap e-waste for about 10 years now. I work for an electronic recycler here in upstate NY, so i have almost an endless supply of scrap to use. I have been collecting alot of scrap to start working with, such as gold fingers from ram, pci and agp cards, laptop touchpads, cellphone boards, etc etc, and i have also been stockpiling gold pins and such from processors, connectors and such, as well as plated parts like a/v jacks, wireless card connectors, a/v wire ends, etc etc .. like i said i have an almost endless supply of scrap to work with. for now i am basically just doing this for a hobby, and just going to work with gold for now. i know i have access to a world of different PM's, like silver, platnium, palladium, etc etc, but one type of metal at a time. i like to try and get as much knowledge and experience with one thing at a time, and with all the information i see on this site far, it looks like i have come to the right place to start researching and begin to process my first batch. looking forward to learning alot, sharing information, and possibly making something out of my new hobby.

Read the welcome and safety sections. They will point you in the right direction from the get go. There is no quick and easy way here so get comfy and get to learning.
