Hello from north Alabama

Hello Everyone,
I work as a mechanical designer as a profession. I love to play guitar and have a new found hobby in precious metals. My dad is on here somewhere but I forgot his screen name...haha.
He owns a scrap metal business and that is where we get all of our electronic scrap from.

I have a batch of gold fingers in Muriatic acid and hydrogen peroxide right now. Most of the foils have come off. I am almost giddy about it. My first batch of fingers weighs in at 500 grams. I am reading hoke's book and watching Steve's tutorial videos. I am stuck on the smb thing... gotta study more on that.

I could ramble on for hours. I am trying not to post too much unitl I gain more knowledge.

Welcome aboard Keith,

SMB is easy enough. Add it dry to the clean filtered gold solution and stir. Add until the solution no longer tests positive to stannous chloride (about 2 grams per gram of dissolved gold).
