Hi, I live in British Columbia and am a machinist by trade. My hobbies include coin collecting, chemistry and working on old machinery. From my coin collecting I have accumulated "junk" silver and gold coins and jewelry so am interested in refining them into more pure form.

I discovered this forum through Laser Steve's website.

Welcome to the forum. I have family north of Burns Lake, Beautiful up there. I see you have some knowledge of chemistry so you should be aware of the dangers of the chemicals used in recovering and refining. Look in the signature line of several of the other members and download Hoke's book it will guide you in most of the processes you will need.
