Thought i should introduce myself... i'm in my late 30's and work in IT in London. Have been in the IT game for around 12 years or so, and only recently realised just how much 'junk' i've cleared out that could probably have given me a good few oz's of gold! Unfortunately in the position i'm in at the moment, i dont really have access to the e-scrap that i have had access to before and didnt realise upon.
Having retired as an amateur motorcycle racer, i have had to find new hobbies to keep me sane. I am running the London Marathon in a few weeks time as i felt the need to set myself a challenge, and i'm raising funds for the Outward Bound Trust (charity) in the process - the fundraising seems to be far more challenging that i ever realised!
primarily, i'm a lover of silver. It was looking for ways to refine silver that brought me to stumble upon this forum, and my eyes were opened. Fortunately, my other half is quite accepting of my 'hobbies' as long as i'm careful with any chemicals. I have yet to try my hand at refining gold, but am slowly accruing a nice collection of fingers to get me going
I need to read through Hokes again, as whilst i'm comfortable with cementing silver (not found instructions on building a silver cell yet), i need to ensure i can lay my hands on the chem's for processing fingers. I see lots of household brand names being used (eg. chlorox?) but these products have different names over here.
anyways, thats me. Hopefully i wont need to ask too many q's along the way!
