My name is Jon and I live in Dutchess County NY. I thought this might be a fun hobby, and perhaps a little lucrative. I would like to find a way to make an honest buck in these tough economic times. I am married and have two young children, things are not getting any easier. My goal is to rummage, seek knowledge and eventually make a GOLD BAR.

Read the posts, follow the link provided by lazersteve on his posts, and get a copy of Hoke's book, which will help you become familiar with refining and refining terminology. The book is written with the novice in mind, one that may not have any chemical training.
