New to recovery and refining. I am trying to learn the process of recovering gold from computer parts and such. I have a pretty good source of boards and such but I want to know about everything before attempting to actually do it.

Welcome.
There is a lot of information in here.

Here is somethings to educate yourself.

1. Read C.M. Hokes book on refining jewelers scrap, it gives an easy introduction to the most important chemistry regarding refining.
It is free here on the forum: Screen Readable Copy of Hoke's Book
2. Then read the safety section of the forum: Safety
3. And then read about "Dealing with waste" in the forum: Dealing with Waste

Suggested reading: The Library

Welcome to the forum.
If you have access to decent quantities of scrap free or cheap you are in a better place than many if not most members , learning how to recover and refine the material should pay off handsomely for you and possibly be a good investment for your futpure.
