How long have you been refining gold or have interest in precious metals? : I started collecting about five years ago. I never had time to do anything with it until recently.

What are you looking for in our community? : Knowledge swapping. I do this for fun, I want to do it well and safe.

How did you discover our Forum? :
From researching how to scrap.

As a biomedical technician, I got sick of watching my coworkers throw away old devices and electronics daily so I got permission to collect out e-waste. I have quite a stockpile and it grows daily. I thought it would be cool to share with everyone here some unique electronics, and hopefully intern you can help me by educating me on what you see. (Pictures are maybe 5% of what I’ve collected so far)

Here are the forum rules and a few links worth studying:

I got my start nabbing some old scientific equipment boards that had been taken apart and were left sitting in the hall for weeks. They were 1980's, from Leica, and ALL the traces were heavily gold-plated, in addition to the huge numbers of high-grade pins arrays. I still have the component-stripped boards, while I consider methods to recover all the traces.
