Hi All, Aaron Brewster From Cedar Bluff, VA. I am 40 years old and I Have a Auto Salvage Yard and Used Car Lot. Its a Family Business, passed down from my father. I believe that the next level to the salvage yard Business, would be having the ability to move more of the metals we have directly into the market. instead of just sending them to the crusher and letting them have all the fun...Haha I'm Reading Hokes book for the second time. I can only say that chemistery class would have been soo much more fun, if a few of you folks had of been around the classroom... :p

I second that!!.. I would have at least slept less in chem class if some of these pro's would have been there to liven it up.. except for maybe Harold.. I would have been banned from class for something I am sure.. Lets just hope I stay on his good side so I can stay around and pick his and these guys (and girls) brains.. who knows, if we last long enough we might even be able to add something to the board that others can learn from.. 8)

I'll See you around the forums I am sure..

Thanks Reapher, and Publius for the shout out...

Reapher it would have cool if the teacher had walked in with some gold and droped it into Acid, and smoked it into solution...LOL

Lol, anything would have been better than my boring class...especially if they brought out some gold and we put it into solution and then dropped it back out and melted it... that would have really sparked our imagination!!

Well I must admit that I never could get my head round chemistry at school and physics was almost as bad.....what makes me smile is that I ended up owning a small very profitable refinery for close on ten years and continue to learn more on the subject here on the forum nearly every day.

I know right?
I can't believe how poorly school made learning when I went through. Now when we are older and can apreciate it, it all seems fun. Maybe it's just maturity... Either way, it is the most challenging thing I have done in a long time and you know you are in deep when the amount of time you spend in the gold refining forum eclipses the time you used to spend looking at certian other adult oriented sites :) I have to get out and finish shopping while I am without the wife and kids, but my lab is calling me!!!!! There are so many things I want to do.. damn I close my eyes and all I see is the diluted green stuff coating the bottom of the vessel in gold... I may need an intervention soon.!!

Hi Nickvc, I too love this forum. I just wish I had found it 20 years ago... It may have not been around that long..LoL.

Reap Her, Has it bad.. The funny thing is Im the same way, the more I learn, the more it draws me in...Thats the reason , I believe that school should start out from the practical side, until they have you hooked, maybe the first year just getting you involved... Then the next year start pushing more theory our way...

P.s. I think That if Herald was there it would have been a Great Class, Although if you really wasn't interested, I sure it wouldn't have taken him long to move you along...HAha
