Hi friends! My name is Aaron and I am about to retire from the Navy after 20 years of active service. I always loved collecting things and scrapping and have some basic knowledge about gold refining from computer parts and circuit boards. After I retire I'll have a lot more time to play around with scrapping e-waste and tinkering with things that I love! I've already seen a handful of great threads and information and am happy to help out where I can!

I know it sounds good to get out and just retire. But trust me, after the first 3 months (terminal leave) the free time will get old. Breaking 20 years of a high pace career is hard to do.

I still miss the Flight line or in your case the flight deck.

I was on the flight deck for the firsts 5 years of my career with VF-143 then later a few tours in again on the Eisenhower. I'll probably end up getting a small job doing something so I don't drive the wife crazy. Getting out does sound real good. There will always be some parts I miss, but I'm happy to move to the next chapter.
