Oh hell, I have been placer mining a few years, so a friend of a friend called and said that an old miner died and they were paid to clean up his place, has gold equipment and chemicals. Got there and ended up with a few machines in clouding a kiln. Old miner said he could helpBeen reading all I can, but have gold liquor both emerald green and amber and a variety of chemicals. I’m overwhelmed and my mining friends don’t know much about it.

Welcome to the forum Kelly.

First, don't do ANYTHING with the unknown solutions till you do a tiny bit of testing. Some miners use acids to dissolve gold. Others use cyanide. Some use both. Mixing one with the other can release deadly hydrogen cyanide gas.

Here's the first test. You need to determine whether the solutions are acidic, or alkaline. You need some litmus paper. It's cheap and readily available. You just put a drop of solution on the strip of paper and the color will indicate whether each solution is acidic or basic (alkaline).

Do this test first and give us the results. We'll help you further from there. Since you mentioned several solutions, be sure to label each one as you test it. Safety first!
