Really was hoping to get some good information on smelting elements different products for using in the flux do's and don'ts all I know is I've been collecting rocks gems what I think to be yours for long period of time the last 4 years so I figured it's about time I actually pull some gold out of them or metal in general I wasted a little bit too much money just doing different experiments I would be really excited just to actually pull some of that back out of what I've been breaking down over the last 4 years recently been working on trying to cupel the lead I've been working with but one thing about it I didn'tKnow that there was tin mixed with the lead bars 50/50 that I've been working with so I don't know if that's being an issue or not but I just figured I'd give a shout out and see what anybody had to say about it. and yeah I just hope to learn some s*** and end result hopefully make some money here's a handful of pictures that I haven't finished feel like I'm getting closer to something but between this and that and the other in my inconsistencies been failing or my lid for my foundry melting you know inconsistencies but here's some pictures of randoms or I've been breaking down.

Welcome to us.

It is impossible to say what this is, at least from pictures.
Is it rocks or something you have processed in some way?
If it is rocks have an assay done or learn to do it yourself.
Tin in Cupels do not go well I think, Tin do not oxidize the way Lead does and will be left with what ever PMs is in there.

Kool thanks for the help I kind of figured that the tin was f****** me up yeah so far with that yellow stuff it's a rock and the lead tin mix I didn't even use a borax on it but I did crush it to powder and it's been melted a few times but not ever fully liquid I haven't had a Borax or soda ash or the main flux components.... The other metal in that pan is just stuff I've run through or to try to collect whatever it would pick up you know and it seems like it has a little bit different color you know one of them is pretty yellow you can't really see from the picture I was looking at it underneath the microscope and it definitely looks gold but I don't have any gold to like base that judgment off of like to look at under a microscope so... I was thinking about just trying out premixed flux and adding 100 g to 100 g of the ore and seeing what I can come out with on an assay like that because so far I've just been testing and trying to come up with my own flux which is not so much has worked out you know maybe like once or twice between different stuff you know but it seems like as soon as I get a solid melt then I have like a crucible give out so it's it's been definitely a lot of factors playing into my escapades here

Your post are almost unreadable, please use periods, commas and line dividers.
Then it will be much easier to read.

Please refrain from using obscenities or hints at them in your posts, we understand the frustration , most will not care but some might and we try to be professional and gentlemanly on the forum as we have a mix of members from ladies to youngsters and many non English speaking members.

I think 90% of our members skip posts like this after attempting to read the first sentence... But where does it end!??!

I was wondering about pointing this out, but did not until you did. 🤔

STill have not dug through the whole post because of this.

Go to the library, and find the book on assaying by Bugbee. It may, or may not ,shed some light on the chemistry of assaying. It is not just mix this, and a little of that. The chemistry of assaying is as complex as wet chemistry refining. You will need to be very knowledgable at not only geology, but chemistry, and the use of the proper tools and techniques used in the trade. This is not a weekend of practice, then you are a master. It takes most people years of studying at a college level, to become proficient and knowledgable.
