I'm Karissa! I fell in love with everything vintage-antique about 12 years ago and my favorite category is Jewelry! I thrift and shop on multiple online and in-app used good shops and have found such amazingly brilliant deals and have held and worked with many amazing pieces over the years! Ive worked with and repaired so many broken pieces that consisted of almost every metal. Of course my favorite to work with are, but are not limited to, gold and silver! Im a Jewelry appreciator and I rehome majority of the pieces I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to work with. Thanks for having me 😁

So this is the second welcome ;)

We do not deal much with jewelry other than dissolve them and drop out pure metals.
There are a few jewelers here though.

Here are some links to study if you plan to start using chemical:

We ask our new members to do 3 things.
1. Read C.M. Hokes book on refining jewelers scrap, it gives an easy introduction to the most important chemistry regarding refining.
It is free here on the forum: https://goldrefiningforum.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=19798
2. Then read the safety section of the forum: https://goldrefiningforum.com/forums/safety.47/
3. And then read about "Dealing with waste" in the forum: https://goldrefiningforum.com/threads/dealing-with-waste.10539/
